Features
- Grooved-end fittings are offered in sizes up to 24" (600 mm) diameter and in different styles and configurations to support a variety of applications.
- Lede grooved-end fittings meet the requirements of ASTM F1548-01 and ANSI/AWWA C606-04. For other pipe sizes not listed here, refer to the applicable groove specifications in the catalogue.
- Most fittings are made from ASTM A536 Gr. 65-45-12 ductile iron; some styles and sizes are made from segmented welded steel.
- Fittings can be supplied painted orange or red, or optionally hot-dip galvanised, epoxy coated or Dacromet coated.
- Pressure ratings must be suitable for the couplings and/or pipe used.
Self-lubricating gaskets
All Lede EPDM gaskets are self-lubricating, so the gasket can be fitted on the pipe without spraying lubricant. For gaskets other than EPDM, a lubricant such as silicone gasket lubricant is recommended to help prevent the gasket from pinching. Apply a thin layer to the outside of the gasket, the gasket lips and/or the inside of the housing.
