Post indicator valves (PIVs) are used with NRS (non-rising stem) gate valves in underground fire protection systems. They control water flow and show clearly, at a glance, whether the valve is open or closed.
Volon indicator posts, vertical and wall type
- Model 701S vertical indicator post (flywheel): UL listed and FM approved. A one-piece upper barrel casting with a full-length one-piece stem and 34.5″ of adjustable length. The handle can be cut to the length you want, and the ON and OFF targets are easy to set. Epoxy coated safety red. Meets NFPA 24.
- Model 701Q wall-mounted indicator post (flywheel): UL listed and FM approved. A horizontal, one-piece top barrel casting with a full-length one-piece stem of adjustable length. Handle length, ON/OFF targets, coating and standard as above.
