What you can select
- Gate valves: OS&Y rising stem and NRS non-rising stem, with flanged or grooved ends, from DN50 to DN400 (2 to 16 in). Grooved valves are listed from DN80 to DN300.
- Hydrants and post indicators: dry barrel and underground hydrants, vertical and wall post indicators.
- Roadway boxes: round and square boxes and the telescopic spindle set for buried valves.
- Catalog data: length, bolt count, turns to open and weight for flanged valves, UL file and FM approval details for each family, materials and facts for the accessories.
3D models
- Eight animated models with a cutaway: OS&Y and NRS gate valves, the UL NRS valve D101, dry barrel hydrant, vertical and wall post indicators, and round and square roadway boxes.

What does the Volon Valve Selector cover?

What is the difference between OS&Y and NRS gate valves?
On an OS&Y (outside screw and yoke) valve the stem rises when the valve opens, so the position is visible from a distance. On an NRS (non-rising stem) valve the stem only turns, and the position is shown by a post indicator or by counting turns.
Are all sizes available in grooved ends?
No. In the catalog, grooved gate valves are listed from DN80 to DN300. DN50, DN65, DN350 and DN400 are flanged only.
