A mechanical tee lets you take a branch off the main pipe without welding. A hole is drilled at the outlet point, the housing is seated in the hole with its locating collar, and the bolts are tightened. A pressure-responsive gasket seals the joint. It can replace several couplings and fittings.
- XGQT04: threaded outlet, NPT or BSPT (ISO 7-1)
- XGQT04G: machined grooved outlet
- L922 and 041 saddle-let: small-bore, U-bolt type. Suitable for sprinkler heads, drip nipples and gauge connections. Full-bore flow, up to 20 bar (300 psi).
Installation notes: Main and branch must be at a true 90°. Use a hole saw of the correct size and never cut the hole with a flame. Check that the locating collar is fully seated in the hole before tightening the housing. See the grooving guide for details.
For welded outlet connections the Model J01 universal outlet (1/2", 3/4", 1") is used. It can cut stock variety by up to 70% compared with conventional outlets.
