- Seismic sway bracing: UTT13 lateral and UTT20 longitudinal brace clamps with UTT10 and UTT11 structure attachments, with FM 1950 ratings for brace angles of 30 to 44 and 45 to 59 degrees.

Limits of the selector
Data comes from the Utterly hanger catalog, the UL Product iQ listing (EX28155) and the FM Approvals Approval Guide, as noted at the bottom of the tool. System capacity is the lower of the clamp and the attachment rating. FM ratings apply to a 1 in Schedule 40 brace. Some catalog load values were read from scanned pages. Confirm every value against the current approval record and with us before specifying.

How is the sway brace capacity determined?
The system capacity is the lower of the brace clamp rating and the structure attachment rating. FM 1950 ratings are given for brace angles of 30 to 44 and 45 to 59 degrees, tested with a 1 in Schedule 40 brace. There are no FM ratings for 60 to 90 degrees.
Which pipe sizes have sway brace clamp ratings?
FM ratings are listed for the UTT13 lateral and UTT20 longitudinal brace clamps on DN50 to DN200 pipe.
